Philosophy
Kadima Day School is committed to making its education accessible to families with as wide an income range as possible, and to do so in a way that is respectful of those families whose circumstances prompt them to apply for tuition reductions. The philanthropic support of our families, along with donors who have made a long-term commitment to keeping Kadima’s tuition affordable and sustainable, allows Kadima to offer tuition at all three of our divisions at well below the average cost of a Jewish education. In addition, Kadima is pleased to have the ability to also offer limited, need-based tuition assistance for families who qualify.
Policies
1. Regular tuition for the 2024-25 school year is set as follows: ECEC (ages 2-5): $14,400; Elementary School (K-5): $18,600; Middle School (6-8): $19,800. Additional fees include an Enrollment fee, PTO fee, Security fee, and Tuition Refund Plan (required for payment plan). 2. Kadima uses the Independent School Management Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) tool to provide a need-based tuition assistance analysis which ensures that our process for establishing financial need adheres to nationally established standards of best practice.
3. Families seeking tuition assistance must file an online application through FAST. Tuition assistance assessments are made for one year only; families must reapply each year.
4. All information from FAST is kept confidential, as is all information pertaining to a family’s tuition assistance request and award. Tuition assistance materials should never be sent to the school. The application must be completed online via FAST’s website, and all supporting material must be sent to FAST in Wilmington, DE.
5. FAST does not decide whether tuition assistance will be given or how much to give; rather, FAST provides Kadima with a report which includes a recommendation of what a family should reasonably contribute toward tuition. A confidential tuition assistance committee reviews each application and recommends allocation of tuition assistance resources for the next year. If the committee requires clarification of a tuition assistance application, the family will be contacted directly.
6. Applications for tuition assistance for returning families are due on January 31, 2024. Applications for tuition assistance for new families are due on February 16, 2024.
7. Families are required to submit supporting tax information to complete their tuition assistance application. Deadlines to submit supporting tax information are listed below. A preliminary tuition assistance award will be completed based on the 2023 tax information and included in the enrollment contract accompanying an offer of admission.
Procedures
1. Complete the tuition assistance application online no later than January 31, 2024 (returning families)/February 16, 2024 (new families).

B. The application process is self-guided. You may navigate in and out of the program, allowing you to partially complete an application, save it and access it again at a later date.
C. There is a nonrefundable application fee of $53.00 to be paid by credit card prior to submitting the application to FAST. If the fee would constitute a financial hardship, or you do not have a credit/debit card, please contact Orly Levy, Director of Finance, (818) 346-0849 ext. 322.
2. Keep a copy of all materials submitted for your files.
3. After completing the online application, you are required to upload a copy of your complete 2023 tax information (both state and federal taxes with all schedules and W-2s) to FAST by the deadline.
